CENTRAL GAUL. Pictones. Circa 100-50 BC. Stater (Electrum, 18 mm, 6.31 g, 3 h), 'tête à gauche, de la main' type. Celticized male head to left, with strings of pearls coming out of the hair. Rev. Devolved charioteer, driving cart drawn by a centaur to left; below, large human hand. DT 3667. LT 4419 var. (additional symbol on the reverse). Very rare and unusually attractive, with a particularly clear reverse symbol. The reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, good very fine.
